Relevant Music for Today's Kids

When we produce music for Educational programs we spend time researching what is popular with the target market. Is your program for third grade kids in Mexico? If so, we spend time seeing what music and television shows are popular with these kids.

Here's the process:

1. Learn What's Popular - listen to what's popular with the target market by checking out the Billboard charts, radio stations and television shows.
2. Match it - then we match the musical styles, instrumentation, production styles, etc. to come up with music that sounds like the music the kids listen to outside of school.

Check out the demo below all from a recent project targeted at 6-10 year old kids in several US and international markets. Since it needs to appeal to as wide a geographic market as possible we surveyed popular kids television shows in the US, Korea and Latin America. As expected, Disney and Nick Jr were popular in those markets. So we surveyed the music and production styles and matched what these channels were producing. It came out great!!! We hope you agree.
