“We’re very excited about this expansion” says CEO, John Marshall
Cheary. “Over the past several years, we have grown enormously by
focusing on the changing needs of our customers. Now, with twice the
number of studios right here on site we will more easily meet our very
high quality standards and allow greater flexibility with studio
scheduling.”
At the heart of the expansion are the two new recording studios. They
will feature the exact same setup as the previous rooms. “For very
important reasons, we have covered every detail to ensure that each room
has identical equipment and signal flow,” says Kevin Fecu, Director of
Studio and Post Production. “The acoustical properties from room to room
are identical. Once an engineer is familiar with one room, they’re
familiar with every room. This makes every session run much more
efficiently.” All four studios will have IAC recording booths, Neumann
microphones, Focusrite Mic Pres and Yamaha 02r recording consoles, all tied
together with Lucent Word Clocks and high-end cabling. “We spend more
on Word Clocking and cabling then some studios spend on microphones,”
says John Cheary. “Not only can you hear the difference, but we have
far fewer audio problems.”
The new facility is designed so that as soon as you enter, you will
immediately feel a natural flow and experience the comfortable and
inviting atmosphere. “When customers come to John Marshall Media, they
most often come to work here for several days,” says Cate Mills,
interior designer from Cate Mills Designs. “With this in mind, we felt it
was important to use warm, clean colors throughout; to make sure that
the space creates a relaxing, nourishing atmosphere that is conducive to
creativity. We also felt it’s important to have multiple lounge
spaces with comfortable chairs and places to eat. This facility has
places that enable JMM’s customers and valued employees to feel right at
home.”
This physical expansion will enhance John Marshall Media’s ability to
meet its customer’s needs and make it a better place for the ever
expanding family of employees and customers to work. “We can’t wait to
have everyone come over to check it out,” says John Cheary.
