Eliza Lang
Read time: 1520-1525
-
Eliza is a Pacific Islander, a proud queer woman, and an actor whose life has taken her from the pacific island of Guam to San Francisco to Pulaski, Virginia. Living in each of those wildly different locations has shaped how she understands people and approaches her character work. Her ongoing volunteer work in mental health–adjacent spaces adds additional depth to that perspective.
In her romance and erotica work, Eliza delves into the vulnerability that underlies attraction. She examines each character's desires and vulnerabilities. Her diverse experiences have added valuable insights to each new project, guiding Eliza in uncovering a character's essential motivations through their narrative journey. She poses critical questions that encourage her to explore deeper into a character's psyche – “Is this character genuinely happy? Or are they hiding a more profound pain or trauma?” or simply, “What does this character truly need?”.
When not in the studio, Eliza can be found listening to audiobooks and crocheting or playing video games. She also finds immense enjoyment from diving deeply into books read for pleasure (as opposed to work) and working toward being a subject matter expert on a specific world, even for a brief period of time.

Tricia Murphy

Hi, I'm Tricia! I am from Minnesota (and I love it, snow and -30F wind-chill included!). I have always loved performing, whether it was making home movies, acting with the community theater, or voicing all the characters as the Dungeon Master for my friends' D&D games. I even received the distinguished award of "Mostly Likely to Become an Actress," from the class of 2006.
Before audiobooks, I was a Pre-K-12 music teacher. I loved spending one class period delving into the musical structure of a song with my high school choir and then playing make believe with my kindergartners to the backdrop of classical music. My classroom was always full of joy, hard work, and of course beautiful music.
My favorite stories to tell are ones with magic, adventure, and hope. My playful energy lends itself to plucky YA heroines, but I am equally comfortable bringing warmth and charm to cozy paranormal mysteries. My favorite, and most aligned project to date, would be a fae romantasy where the main character was described as “Mexican, but with naturally pink hair.”
In my free time, I love delving into fantastical worlds. Some days, table top roleplaying games; others it's battling monsters and romancing NPCs in video games, and every day, it's a long walk in the park with my partner, our dog, and a good audiobook.
